We had some awesome Winners at our Broads with Rods 10th Annual Fishing Tournament on Saturday, May 6th at Captain Marks Bastrop Marina. Red fish category winners are: Jane Tumlinson-1st place with 8.94lbs, Debra White-2nd place with 8.25 lbs. Trout winners are: Sunny Dye-1st place at 4.26lbs, Tina Petty-2nd place at 4.15lbs. Flounder winners: Stacie Madsen-1st place-3.73lbs, Anita Balboa-2nd place at 2.73. All 1st place winners received a cash prize of $848.00 each and $565.00 for all second place winners. Fun pot winners are Tiffany Newman for largest Croaker at .66 ounces, Kristie Vasek for largest hardhead at 1.70lbs, Tori Peters, Lil’Broad, won hard luck pot for getting sick all winning $100.00 each. Best team name winners were Lipsticks and Lures, winning $200.00 and Stephanie Havemann won $261.50 for Split the Pot.Lil’ Broads 2nd Annual Junior Tournament had 8 Lil’ Anglers. Hannah Dunn was our 1st place winner for largest trout at 1.27 winning $120.00. Hailey Friemel won 2nd place at .33 lbs winning $80.00. Jessica Hall, Miss Texas High School America, was the guest speaker for our Lil Broads giving us a great message on her achievements and never giving up on our dreams. Thank you, Jessica, for your wonderful words of encouragement!  Our auction was also a success. Thank you to our Auctioneer, Kenny Rodriguez, and everyone that donated items to our auction.
